Al Roberts, RA, DBIA, CDT

Al has been a Senior Project Manager at Fentress for more than two decades and has a well-honed balance of technical expertise and business acumen. He is known for his natural capacity for collaboration and his ease in building trust with clients and colleagues. In addition, he has a keen ability to comprehend client needs and goals and translate this understanding into project success.

These attributes, combined with his architectural expertise, have given Al exceptional skills with the design-build process. He enjoys working closely with the client and contractor, delivering projects with memorable design, high functionality and the capacity to support a client’s business goals.

Growing up with a father who was a mechanical engineer at Boeing, Al had an innate talent for math and science. He initially pursued engineering, then was ultimately drawn to the holistic nature of architecture. He thrives when working at the intersection of creativity and science, while also drawing on his engineering knowledge.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Al enjoys craftsmanship and woodworking, often building furniture or custom-made fly rods for friends and family. His rural Colorado home allows him to stay connected to nature and his community, where he works with his local church to provide firewood and other survival necessities to those in need.
