About Robin
A third-generation Colorado native, Robin Ault brings a deep connection to his roots and a wealth of experience to his role at Fentress Studios, a Populous Company. Drawn to architecture in high school by the transformative power of design, he has since built a reputation for creating environments that elevate the human experience while delivering measurable value for clients.
Robin’s work embodies the philosophy that every project should reflect its location, culture and community. Since joining the firm in 1995, he has led or contributed to major civic and institutional projects including the Colorado Convention Center, Raleigh-Durham International Airport Terminal 2, the LEED Platinum Humanities Gateway at UC Irvine and the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine in San Diego. Each of these projects demonstrates his ability to blend innovation, sustainability and a defined sense of place.
In addition to his project leadership, Robin is deeply engaged in furthering the architectural profession. He is a frequent speaker at industry forums such as Facades+ and has served as co-chair for the AIA Colorado Design + Honor Awards. As a visiting critic at the University of Colorado, College of Architecture and Planning, he mentors the next generation of architects — sharing the same passion and rigor he brings to client work.
Robin’s blend of local insight, national experience, and client-focused innovation makes him a trusted partner for organizations seeking design that is both grounded in community and visionary in its reach.
